Free summer program for
children who love nature

CLEMSON – The South Carolina Botanical Garden is offering a free summer program for children who love to listen to nature-related books read aloud.
The Garden of Readin’ program will be on Tuesdays starting July 6 and will run through Aug. 10. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Fran Hanson Discovery Center.
Garden educator Amy Dabbs will share her favorite children’s books inspired by nature. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
For more information, contact the Fran Hanson Discovery Center at (864) 656-3405 or logon to www.clemson.edu/scbg or e-mail scbg@clemson.edu.
The garden is located on the Clemson University campus at the intersection of Highway 76 and Silas Pearman Blvd. It encompasses 295 acres of gardens, streams and woodlands, and is open year-round from sunrise to sunset free of charge.
Support the garden by becoming a ‘FRIEND of the Garden.’ Contact Christine Drais for more information at (864) 656-3405 or cdrais@clemson.edu.
