Your Day radio schedule for week of Oct. 4

CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on the South Carolina Educational Radio Network for the week of Oct. 4. MONDAY, OCT. 4 – S.C. Focus -- The Recommendations of the 911 Commission. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs, talks with Lee Hamilton, co-chair of the 911 Commission, a guest of the Global Forum Program endowed by the Bank of America in Clemson University ’s College of Business and Behavioral Science.

Out & About -- Ethics and Voter Participation. Sara Diaz talks with Bob Smith, Clemson University professor of political science who specializes in ethics and politics.

The Arts -- Indian Classical Dance.  Anuradha Murali , artistic director of the Mrudani School of Performing Arts in Orangeburg, talks with Craig Stinson, director of the Folklife and Traditional Arts program of the S.C. THURSDAY, OCT. 7 -- Focus on the Future -- Comprehensive Planning in S.C. Coastal Development. Donna London of the Jim Self Center on the Future, talks with Representative Ben Hagood of Sullivan’s Island .

The Arts, I -- Another winner of the 2004 Piccolo Fiction Open, Charleston writer Katharine Mitchell reads her short, short story, “Vacancy.”

The Arts, II -- AcousticSeen. Bob McAnally talks with Ray Guenthner, president, and Lucy Allen, traditional music coordinator of Dry Ridge Productions, a non-profit organization promoting acoustic music in Upstate South Carolina. A preview of the acoustic performances will be played that will take place on the Ryland Homes Stage on Coffee Street during Fall for Greenville Oct. 8-10.

Out & About -- Roy Scott talks with Bernie Mazyck, president and CEO of the SC Association of Community Development Corporations.
