4-H Invitational Golf Tournament scheduled for Sept. 22

ORANGEBURG – 4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. The program is dedicated to teaching those qualities to South Carolina youth and recognizing and rewarding them for making good decisions and positive contributions to their community.

Therefore, the proceeds from the 10 th Annual 4-H Invitational Golf Tournament that is scheduled for Sept. 22 will be used to expand and enhance S.C. 4-H Youth Development programs and opportunities such as National 4-H Congress and National 4-H Conference.

The tournament will be held at Hillcrest Golf Club in Orangeburg.

The cost for an individual player is $60; a team of 4 players is $240; $300 for a hole sponsor; and $1,000 for a tournament sponsor. All costs include a barbecue dinner and drinks on the course.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. Shotgun start begins at 11 a.m. with a reception at 4:30 p.m. There will be box lunches on the golf carts.

Make checks payable to State 4-H Fund, 210 Barre Hall, Clemson University, Clemson, S.C. 29634.

From I-26, take Exit 145 at Highway 601 into Orangeburg. Travel through four traffic lights. Look for large Hillcrest Golf Club masonry marker on the right. Turn right onto State A&M Road. The entrance to the club will be on the right.
