4-H shooting sports winners announced

CLEMSON – Thirty-seven youths participated in the 4-H fun shooting sports fun shoot that was held at Rocky Knoll Sporting Clays in Abbeville on Aug. 6.

The sporting clay event represented seven counties in the state with approximately 50 parents and volunteers in attendance.

Juniors ages 9-13 years old and seniors ages 14-19 years old participated in the one day event.

The following is the list of winners:

Juniors – Class A

First place – Aaron Gardner of Dillon

Second place – Scooter Barnwell of Abbeville

Third place – Drew Pearman of Anderson

Juniors – Class B

First place – Chad McLaurin of Marlboro

Second place – Player Aston of Dillon

Third place – John Rogers of Marlbobo

Juniors – Class C

First place – Aaron Powell of Abbeville

Second place – Cody Gasque of Dillon

Third place – Quinton Gardner of Dillon

Juniors – Class D

First place – Cole Dickert of Newberry

Second place – Lukas Rogers of Marlboro

Third place – Richard Miller of Oconee

Seniors – Class A

First place – Sam Haddock of Orangeburg

Second place – Travis Cox of Oconee

Third place – Caleb Chihasz of Abbeville

Seniors – Class B

First place – Matt Pruitt of Oconee

Second place – Cody Lever of Newberry

Third place – Austin Longshore of Newberry
