At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Jan. 10

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina Educational Television Network for the week of Jan. 10. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.  

Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs.

Monday, Jan. 10 -- Lisa Wagner, education director for the S.C. Botanical Garden, and Host Ann Lee McPhail talk about winter ferns, moss and ivy. Beth Kunkle, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, talks about low-carbohydrate diets.  

Tuesday, Jan. 11 – Clemson Extension Horticulturists Bob Polomski, and Mickey Taylor discuss water plant research. Bob Head, co-owner of Head-Lee Nursery, talks about philodendrons.  

Wednesday, Jan. 12 -- Libby Hoyle, Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist, and Host Ann McPhail discuss bean soup. Madison Turnblad, former Clemson University student from Orangeburg, shows how to make corsages.  

Thursday, Jan. 13 – George Kessler, professor of forestry, in this Tree Talk segment talks about ice damage to trees. Heather Koesline, Clemson University horticulture student, shows how to make a gum drop tree.  

Friday, Jan. 14 — Kathy Wright, Clemson Extension agent, in the Ask Kathy segment, talks about rearranging a budget with a 10 percent cut in your salary. Joe Albano, professor of horticulture at the University of Florida's USDA research lab, talks about African Violets and Ficus.  

At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The Carolina Channel and RFDTV. RFDTV airs on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. on Direct TV on channel 379 and the Dish Network on channel 9409.
