Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, Jan. 31 – Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialists Libby Hoyle and Sue Hovey make yeast bread. Then Clemson Extension Urban Wildlife Specialist Candace Cummings shows the latest in bird feeders. Tuesday, Feb. 1 – Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Beth Kunkel discusses Vitamin D deficiency and what to do about it. Clemson Extension Horticulturist Bob Polomski visits Bill Head at Head Lee Nursery in Seneca to look at low growing plants. Wednesday, Feb. 2 – Clemson Extension Horticulturist Bob Polomski visits Busby Nursery in Anderson to look at pesticides and discuss how to use them. Then Clemson Extension Agent Marilyn Peters talks about blue crab. Thursday, Feb. 3 – Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw visits the S.C. Botanical Garden to look at winter garden color. What is an anti-oxidant vitamin? Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Beth Kunkel explains. Friday, Feb. 4 – Clemson Extension Urban Wildlife Specialist Candace Cummings discusses books that teach young people about birds. Then Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill gives recipes for pasta and broccoli salad. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The Carolina Channel and RFDTV.
