At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Nov. 21

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina ETV Network for the week of Nov. 21. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.

Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the show’s website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/.

Monday, Nov.21 ­ S.C. Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers talks about a new form of fuel, E 80. Then Clemson Extension Horticulture Specialist Bob Polomski and Bill Head, co-owner of Head-Lee Nursery, show bulbs for the Spring.

Tuesday, Nov. 22 ­ Last in our three part series, At Home is back in Barbara Yon's garden. This time to see what she has done with Tea Olives and Cast Iron Plants. Then Clemson Extension Horticulture Specialist David Bradshaw takes goes to the Heirloom Garden to look at sweet potatoes.

Wednesday, Nov. 23 -­ Joey Williamson, horticulturist with the Home and Garden Information Center, displays some beautiful Tea Olives. Then Clemson Extension Horticulture Specialist David Bradshaw travels to Host Jeff Bennett’s house to see Cast Iron Plants.

Thursday, Nov. 24 ­ Happy Thanksgiving!!! Jeff is in the kitchen with Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle to see how to keep those leftovers safe.

Friday, Nov. 25- Since the leftovers are the best part of the turkey, Clemson Extension Agent Kristen Welch discusses a great recipe for chicken and turkey citrus salad.Then Joe Monroe, Poultry Federation, talks about the poultry industry in S.C.

At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on the South Carolina Channel. For the week of Nov. 23: Part three of Barbara Yon's garden in Ridge Springs; Home and Garden Information Center Horticulturist Joey Williamson displays Tea Olives; Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw travels to Host Jeff Bennett’s house to see Cast Iron Plants; and Clemson Extension Agent Kristen Welch discusses a recipe for citrus chicken and turkey salad.
