Monday, Sept. 26 Getting a baby to eat solid food is important and needs to be a pleasant event. Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, and a student in her department, Elizabeth Mills, talks about feeding solid food to babies. Education Director of the S.C. Botanical Garden Lisa Wagner and Clemson University volunteer Wendy Farnum takes a trip to the Geology Museum in the S.C. Botanical Garden to look at fall flowers. Tuesday, Sept. 27- This is the time of year when there is an abundance of green tomatoes in the vegetable garden. Clemson Extension Agent Rhonda Matthews shows how to make fried green tomatoes. Then Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw gives directions on how to propagate plants. Wednesday, Sept. 28 - Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw grows all kinds of interesting things in the S.C. Botanical Garden. Today he shows a Lufa and tells us how to use it. Then Lynn Finley, horticulture expert from Anderson, shows her fall garden. Thursday, Sept. 29 If you are planning a fall garden, one of the first things to consider is the condition of the soil. Clemson Extension Horticulturist Bob Polomski and Bill Head, co-owner of Head -Lee Nursery in Seneca, discusses how to prepare the soil. Friday, Sept. 30 This Apple Walnut Cake is delicious, so get a pencil and paper. Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill is in the kitchen with this great recipe. Then Lisa Wagner, education director for the S.C. Botanical Garden, and Wendy Farnum, Clemson University volunteer, look at some container gardens.
