Flow Yoga – Thursdays – Jan. 6, 13, 20, and 27 Flow Yoga with Renee Gahan is a course ideal for beginner, intermediate and experienced yoga students. The class focus is on vinyasa or ‘flow yoga’ in addition to the Ashtanga primary series of poses designed to increase strength and flexibility. Breathing techniques will also be practiced to reduce stress, induce relaxation and clarity of mind. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat to practice on. Class is limited to 12 students per session. *Please note: yoga classes will resume Jan. 6, 2005 after the holiday break. Fee: $10 per session To register, call (864) 656-3405. Thursdays: 6 – 7:30 p.m. Location: S.C. Botanical Garden Hayden Conference Center. First Friday Nature Walk – Jan. 7 Meet at the Red Caboose for an informative walk with naturalist and Clemson University Professor David Bradshaw. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate dress. Walks generally last between one and two hours. Fee: Free 9 a.m. Location: Red Caboose Parking Area. Focus: Fiber Art Quilt Exhibit – Jan. 10 – Mar. 31 Focus: Fiber Art is an exhibit of nine regional quilt designers. This
colorful exhibit of artistic quilts will be on display at the Discovery
Center from Jan. 10 through March 31. Look for workshops and other
related events in March. Location: Fran Hanson Discovery Center. Hands-On Vermicomposting Workshop – Jan. 29 Tuition: $20, includes worm bin plans. 10 a.m. – Noon
Winter Lecture Series – Early Registration Open The 2005 Winter Lecture Series provides opportunities to expand your knowledge about the world of plants and gardens.
