Focus: Fiber Art Quilt Exhibit – through Mar. 31

Focus: Fiber Art is an exhibit of eight regional quilt designers. This colorful exhibit of artistic quilts will be on display at the Discovery Center through Mar. 31. Look for lectures, demonstrations and other related events.

Daily: Mon. – Sat.: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Sun.: 1-5pm

Location: Fran Hanson Discovery Center

Flow Yoga – Thursdays – Mar. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Flow Yoga with Renee Gahan is a course ideal for beginner, intermediate and experienced yoga students. The class focus is on vinyasa or ‘flow yoga’ in addition to the Ashtanga primary series of poses designed to increase strength and flexibility. Breathing techniques will also be practiced to reduce stress, induce relaxation and clarity of mind. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat to practice on. Class is limited to 12 students per session.

Fee: $10 per session

Thursdays: 5:45 – 7:15p.m.

Location: SCBG Hayden Conference Center.

 

First Friday Nature Walk – Mar. 4

Meet at the Red Caboose for an informative walk with naturalist and Clemson University Professor David Bradshaw. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate dress. Walks generally last between one and two hours.

Fee: Free

9 a.m.

Location: Meets at the Red Caboose Parking Area.

Opportunities in grounds maintenance and gardening, education programs, special events, and visitor services are available. GARDEN HOURS OF OPERATION:

Discovery Center & Garden Gift Shop Hours: Mon.–Sat., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sun. 1-5 p.m.

Geology Museum Hours: Thurs.-Sat., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sun. 1-5 p.m. Admission: $3/adults and $2/children 12 and under. Annual passes available.

The Garden is located on the Clemson University campus at the intersection of Highway 76 and Silas Pearman Blvd. It encompasses 295 acres of gardens, streams and woodlands, and is open year-round from sunrise to sunset, free of charge.
