The program will cover topics such as timber records, timber basis, timber depletion, methods for marketing, long-term capital gains, the use of Form T, changes in the tax code and revenue rulings made during the last six months. Registration is $300 if received by Dec. 2 and $350 afterward. The fee covers refreshment breaks and educational materials. Cancellations must be made by Dec. 2 to receive a full refund. The workshop provides 11 hours of Category 1 Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credits, as recognized by the Society of American Foresters. The course will originate on the Clemson University campus and satellite downlink sites will be at the county meeting room in Abbeville and Clemson Extension offices in Columbia, Edgefield, Greenville, Newberry and Walterboro.
