CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on the South Carolina Educational Radio Network for the week of Jan. 24. MONDAY, JAN. 24 -- An Update on the Economy. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University , talks with Bruce Yandle, a senior fellow at the Thurmond Institute and author of the quarterly newsletter, The Economic Situation Report. Yandle, a Clemson University alumnus distinguished professor emeritus of economics and interim dean of the College of Business and Behavioral Science, is a past member of the S.C. State Board of Economic Advisors and former Executive Director of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Children of the Tsunami. Gary Melton, director of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life, speaks with Psychology Professor Mike Wessells of Randolph Macon College , a child protection specialist with the Christian Children’s Fund. Wessells is serving in the disaster relief effort in Chennai , India .

Writers on Rejection. Radio Free Bubba writers Pat Jobe of Chesnee and Meg Barnhouse of Spartanburg respond to literary rejection and other discouraging experiences.
