CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on South Carolina ETV Radio for the week of Nov. 7. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7

Drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge . Dr. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University, talks with Dr. Harvard Ayers, cultural anthropologist from Appalachian State University and Vernon Kay, a native American resident of the Yukon about the vote to relax a long-standing federal ban on new oil and gas drilling off most of the US coast and to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to energy exploration.

In the aftermath of disaster. Dr. Gary Melton, director of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life at Clemson University, discusses the mental health effects of the recent national disasters with Dr. Dan Dodgens, emergency management coordinator with SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8

An hour of live conversation on gardening in South Carolina . Throughout the noon hour, Clemson Extension Horticulturist Bob Polomski and his guest will take listener questions on lawn and garden topics. A South Carolina Vineyard. Libby Hoyle, Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist in the Clemson University Department of Packaging Sciences, visits Irvin-House vineyards on Wadmalaw Island near Charleston, where the third annual Blessing of the Vine Festival takes place on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10

Prescribed burning. Donna London of the Jim Self Center on the Future talks with Dr. Ernie Wiggers of the Nemours Wildlife Foundation, the current chair of the SC Prescribed Fire Council. The South Carolina Prescribed Fire Council's 2005 General Meeting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Riverbanks Botanical Garden in Columbia .

The Big Possums Walk the Night. Oconee County physician Edwin Leap describes the increase in emergency room traffic after midnight . Dr. Leap’s columns are collected in Working Knights.

Alpaca farming in South Carolina. Bob Schuster visits with Simpsonville alpaca farmer Karen Roberts of Blackberry Pastures and Mike Montjoy of Alpaca Trading Post in Woodruff. Hundreds of alpacas from throughout the Southeast will be shown at the Palmetto Alpaca Classic held on Nov. 19-20 at the T. Ed Garrison Arena in Clemson.

Thanksgiving: our national meal. Sandy Woodward talks with Kathleen Curtin, food historian at Plimouth Plantation in Massachussetts and co-author with Sandra Oliver of Giving Thanks, which traces the history of the holiday and provides recipes, traditional and modern.
