Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Video Productions Services host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-5951 or at the shows website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/ . The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, Feb. 13 Since this is the week for Valentine's Day... we begin with roses...better yet David Bradshaw, Clemson Extension horticulturist, and his advice on how to prune roses. Then we’ll travel to Greenville and one of our sweethearts, Elizabeth Hill, Clemson Extension agent, will be making chunky applesauce in the microwave. Tuesday, Feb. 14 Happy Valentine's Day! In honor of Valentine’s Day, Clemson University Food and Nutrition Specialist Beth Kunkel displays chocolate for this special occasion. Then learn how to divide a Boston Fern with Carry Burriss, Clemson University retired horticulturist, and Clemson Extension Urban Horticulturist Bob Polomski. Wednesday, Feb. 15 Host Jeff Bennett and David Howell, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, make Boston Butt Roast in the crock pot. Then Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw shows the Rohdae japonica or Japanese Gentleman's plant. Thursday, Feb. 16 Sergio Nieto-Montenegro, food science and human nutrition professor, and John Barrett, Monteray Mushroom Inc, talks about mushrooms --from what variety to use, to learn how to store them or how they are grown. Friday, Feb. 17 There is more to a food label that there used to be. Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, shows what to look for. Then Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw gives tips on pruning. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel.
