Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Video Productions Services host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-5951 or at the shows website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, Feb 27 Clemson Extension Horticulturists Bob Polomski and John Bodiford show how to prune the delicate Japanese Maple tree....and early spring is the time for this garden task. Tuesday, Feb. 28 – Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw goes to the S.C. Botanical Garden looking for plants that have “winter interest". This time he finds a beautiful Bleeding Heart. Then Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill makes spaghetti sauce in a pressure cooker...a great cold weather food. Wednesday, Mar. 1 Hosts Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett begin a garden series with Chuck Burgess, Clemson University Home and Garden Information Center. Chuck is showing how to start seeds indoors. Then Clemson graduate Elizabeth Tolly tells about frogs and their use in flower arrangements. Thursday, Mar. 2 – Host Ann Lee McPhail and Lisa Wagner, S.C. Botanical Garden educational director, look at Camellias and Hydrangeas in the winter garden. Then Katherine Cason, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, and her daughter, Melissa, make ice cream in a bag. Friday, Mar. 3 Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw shows one of his favorite trees, the American Beech. Now is a good time to transplant these trees. Then Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, gives the "skinny" on a low carb diet. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel.
