Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center hosts the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the shows website at http://AtHome.clemson.edu. The questions will be answered on selected Friday programs. Monday, Jan 2 Tony Caver, state veterinarian with Clemson University , and Julie Helms, Clemson University veterinary science professor, talks about the Bird Flu. Then Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, tells about nuts in the diet. Tuesday, Jan. 3 Joey Williamson, horticulturist with the Home and Garden Information Center , shows plants that grow well in the shade. Then Candace Cummings, Clemson University urban wildlife specialist, talks about bird houses. Wednesday, Jan 4 -- Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, discusses a good diet for the elderly. Then George Kessler, retired Clemson University forestry professor, discusses lichens and moss on trees. Thursday, Jan. 5 -- If you got a Christmas or Thanksgiving cactus as a gift, Chuck Burgess, Clemson University horticulturist with the Home and Garden Information Center , discusses how to take care of it. Then Libby Hoyle, Clemson University packaging science professor, and her guest give us a recipe for Asian cole slaw. Friday, Jan. 6 - Clemson Extension Agent Rhonda Matthews gives a recipe for pasta toss and Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle and her guest show that we can eat well southern style. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel.
