Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center hosts the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the show’s website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/. Monday, Nov. 6--- Due to many requests the “Apple Special" with retired Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill will be shown. She whips up her special apple walnut cake and the apple enchiladas. Tuesday, Nov. 7- We talk with Ashley Rawl of Walter P. Rawl and Sons Farm and look at some beautiful onions, collards and kale. We also get Rawl’s favorite recipe for collards. Then Candace Cummings, Clemson University urban wildlife specialist, gets us in a holiday mood with some special gifts for children. Wednesday, Nov. 8 - E-Coli is very serious -- so how do we avoid getting it? Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition, give us the facts. Then, we look at some new products with Candace Cummings, Clemson University urban wildlife specialist, and Addy Presley of Wildbirds Unlimited. Plus we have a bonus for hummingbirds. Thursday, Nov. 9 Dave Bradshaw, Clemson Extension horticulturist, has an eye for finding interesting things in the S.C. Botanical Garden. This time it is a "Double Tree". Then Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle talks with Sue Hovey, Clemson Extension agent . They are making Mediterranean Chicken by special request. Friday, Nov. 10--Our feature from Bob Schuster, Clemson University special projects specialist, is all about timber harvests and the importance of renewable resources. Then we go to the Anderson Fair where Kathy Wright, Clemson Extension 4-H agent, talks with 4-H volunteer Heather Grant. At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on the South Carolina Channel. Featured this week: Timber Harvest with Bob Schuster; Apple Walnut Cake with Elizabeth Hill; and S.C. Vegetables with Ashley Rawl. END
