At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Oct. 30

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina ETV Network for the week of Oct. 30. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff

Bennett of the Clemson University Communications Center hosts the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.

Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the show’s website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/.

Monday, Oct. 30 ­ Clemson Extension Urban Horticulture Specialist Bob Polomski, and Bill Head, co-owner of Head-Lee Nursery, talks about what we should know before going to the nursery. Then former Clemson University student Morgan Judy gives a great example of a fall table arrangement.

Tuesday, Oct. 31 – The At Home crew travel to Ridge Springs to the garden of Barbara Yon. Yon is an artist and designs gardens as if they were rooms. Then Candace Cummings, Clemson University urban wildlife specialist, explains how to create a backyard habitat for wildlife.

Wednesday, Nov. 1 -­ Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill’s makes one of her favorite recipes, quick chili. Then Clemson University Urban Wildlife Specialist Candace Cummings gives some gift tips for the birds.

Thursday, Nov. 2 ­ Clemson Extension Agent F. Brian Smith displays an old plant with new interest, the Beauty Berry. Then Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle and Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw get a home grown pumpkin ready for baking.

Friday, Nov. 3- Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle makes her famous pumpkin pie. Then Connie Smith, president of the S.C. Poultry Federation, explains some facts about the poultry industry.

At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on the South Carolina Channel.
