At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Oct. 9

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina ETV Network for the week of Oct.9. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of Clemson University Video Production Services host the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.

Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome- L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the show's website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/.

Monday, Oct. 9 – Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw looks at rocks and borders at the S.C. Botanical Garden . Then, Clemson Extension Horticulturist Bob Polomski visits with John Elsley, nationally known horticulturist, to look at garden designs.

Tuesday, Oct. 10 --- Donna Bundrick-Griffin of Walter P. Rawl Farms, discusses great ways to include vegetables in our diets. Then Elizabeth Hill, retired Clemson Extension agent, stirs up some Asparagus and Walnut Stir Fry.

Wednesday, Oct. 11 -­ Retired Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill whips together Apple Walnut Cake and Apple Enchiladas. Then we offer the apple recipes from the 2005 and 2006 Oconee County Apple Festival with a special thanks to Carolyn Harris, Clemson Extension agent.

Thursday, Oct. 12 ­ David Bradshaw, Clemson Extension horticulturist, talks with Ginger Lily in the S.C. Botanical Garden . Then Host Jeff Bennett talks with Libby Hoyle, Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist, about the best way to mail food.

Friday, Oct. 13 --- Host Ann Lee McPhail talks a look at one of her favorite plants – Fatsia Japonica with Chuck Burgess, who was at this time with the Home and Garden Information Center . Burgess now works with the S.C. School for the Deaf and Blind. Then Libby Hoyle, Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist, and Sue Hovey, Clemson Extension agent, make holiday breads.

At Home Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel. Programs for this week feature our Garden Designs with David Bradshaw and Bob Polomski and vegetable recipes with Donna Bundrick-Griffin and Elizabeth Hill.
