At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Sept. 18

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, will air on the South Carolina ETV Network for the week of Sept. 18. Ann Lee McPhail and Jeff Bennett of the Clemson University Video Production Services hosts the program each week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m.

Viewers may ask questions about a subject that was featured on the program by e-mail at athome-L@clemson.edu, by phone at (864) 656-3204 or at the show's website at: http://AtHome.clemson.edu/.

Monday, Sept. 18 -- Mac and Cheese is a southern favorite. Elizabeth Hill, Clemson Extension Service, gives her favorite recipe. Then Candace Cummings, Clemson University urban wildlife specialist, and Abbie Presley from Wildbirds Unlimited, show how to get ready for birds and winter.

Tuesday, Sept. 19 -- Tracy Todd, vice president of histories at Middleton Place, takes a tour of a cabin that dates back to the original plantation. Then David Bradshaw, Clemson Extension horticulturist, talks about sweet potatoes.

Wednesday, Sept. 20 -- Eggs are versatile and nutritious. Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension Service, makes "Eggscellent Eggs". Then Wendy Farnum, Clemson University volunteer, and Lisa Wagner, education director for the S.C. Botanical Garden, show some plants that are good for fall replacements.

Thursday, Sept. 21 -- Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill gives a great recipe for those cold days to come, Mexican Casserole. Then Libby Hoyle, Clemson University Packaging Science, and Dotty Ryan, Southeastern Dairy Council, show us "Portion Distortion".

Friday, Sept. 22 -- Chuck Burris, horticulturist with the Home and Garden Information Center, discusses Hydrangeas. Then Clemson Extension Agent Elizabeth Hill makes another on of her signature dips, Tex Mex Black Bean Dip.

At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on The South Carolina Channel.
