Ed Garrison Livestock Arena Aug. 12-13. The Australian native can be seen on two weekly television shows on RFD-TV on DirectTV and DISH Network. He concentrates on helping horse owners work through training challenges, so both horse and rider can get more enjoyment from training and recreation. He is the two-time champion of the rigorous Road to the Horse Colt Starting Challenge, which gives trainers just three hours to break an unstarted colt. Sessions at the arena will begin at 8 a.m. each day and will focus on various topics including: Gaining Your Horses Respect on the Ground; Round Penning; Achieving Softness Under Saddle; Trouble Free Trailer Loading; De-sensitizing Your Horse to Spooky Objects; Advanced Groundwork; and an Advanced Riding Demonstration during which Clinton will demonstrate various reining maneuvers and advanced riding techniques with his gelding Diaz. Ten percent of all ticket sales will benefit the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, a national non-profit organization which encourages the benefits of therapeutic riding for the handicapped. Prizes and give-aways are scheduled throughout the event, which will be emceed by Rick Lamb of “The Horse Show”. Tickets for the full weekend are $25 per person online before Aug. 10. Tickets at the door are $50 each. Sunday, Aug. 13, is youth day and all youths ages 16 and under are admitted free. Adults accompanying them may purchase a one day ticket at the door for $25.
