Category 3 Commercial Pesticide License training set for Mar. 23

CLEMSON – The Clemson Extension offices of Anderson , Greenville and Pickens have organized a Category 3 (Turf and Ornamentals) Commercial Pesticide License Training on Mar. 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the University Center of Greenville.

The training is for commercial lawn and landscape professionals.

According to S.C. state regulations, as of Jan. 1, 2006 , all persons making pesticide applications in Category 3 must have a valid commercial applicator’s license or be under the direct supervision of a person so licensed. All who are not in compliance with this regulation are in violation of state law.

The cost of the training is $150.

The purpose of the training is to prepare participants for the Core and Category 3 Commercial Pesticide License Exam.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Registration forms and additional information can be obtained by calling any of these Clemson Extension offices: Anderson at (864) 226-1581, Greenville at (864) 232-4431, or Pickens at (864) 878-1394.
