Nominations being sought for top certified crop advisor

CLEMSON – Nominations are now being received for the 2005 Certified Crop Advisor of the Year for South Carolina.

Nominations must be sent to the South Carolina Fertilizer and Agrichemicals Association by Feb. 17. The address is SCFAA Executive Committee, PO Box 1316, Pendleton, SC 29670. Nominations may be faxed to (864) 656-6879 or e-mailed to scfaa@bellsouth.net. For more information call (864) 650-5306.

Nominees must have a current CCA certification and be nominated by a customer, employer, peer or other associate who has first hand knowledge of their work, according to Mike Watkins, spokesman for the SCFAA.

“We are looking for exceptional examples of what an advisor is doing regarding crop management, nutrient management, soil and water quality, integrated pest management, and other activities such as writing grower newsletters and organizing educational meetings and field days,” said Watkins.
