The Nature of Quilts Symposium will include lectures, workshops, gallery tours, and a gala and silent auction. The event will be led by South Carolina industry leaders who will share their knowledge of quilting on topics such as string quilting, design techniques, history, postcard quilts, nature elements, batik, professional development and more. Full registration cost is $145 and $15 for participants planning to attend the gala and $20 for each additional guest. Cost is $90 for a one-day participation for either day. Deadline to register is July 7. All symposium sessions will be held at the Botanical Garden Hayden Conference Center, Nature Learning Center and Burton House. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. followed by sessions at 10:30 a.m. A pre-symposium welcome reception will be held at Heirlooms & Comforts in Central July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The gala and silent auction will be held July 21 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Garden’s Discovery Center. The Garden is on the Clemson University campus at the intersection of Highway 76 and Perimeter Road.
