‘Trotting Round the Tree’ Horse show set for Dec. 9-10

CLEMSON – Clemson University Equine Center students are hosting the third annual “Trotting Round the Tree” Horse and Dressage Show and Schooling Combined Test at T. Ed Garrison Livestock Arena Dec. 9-10.

The event begins at 8: 30 a.m. each day and is free to spectators.

The show will begin on Dec. 9 with the Hunter Show in the covered arena and is being judged by Stephanie Von Bidder from Aiken.  This will consist of the starter level jumping classes and go through adult and children hunters jumping 2 ft. 3 inches.  The Open Show starts at 9 p.m. in the indoor arena and is being judged by John Kunkle of Awendaw. The Open Show will have horses exhibiting in Halter, English, Western and Games Divisions.

On Dec. 10, the second half of the Hunter Show will start at 8:30 am in the covered arena with the 2 ft. 6 inches through 3 ft. Hunter Classes, then finishing with the Jumper Division.  At 8 a.m. the Dressage for the Combined Tests will begin, followed by the Dressage Classes.  The Jumping for the Combined Test will begin at 10 a.m. on an outdoor grass course.
