When – Sunday, March 5 -- 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. What – Community service learning project. Three nuns of the Greek Orthodox Church are attempting to establish a monastery in the Upstate area. They came from Greece two years ago and have bought a small farm near Antreville in Abbeville County. They need a new fence around their six-acre pasture to raise milk goats for feta cheese and a diary cow for milk, butter and yogurt. Clemson Extension Horticulturist David Bradshaw has volunteered to build their new fence. He has asked Clemson students to help in clearing the fence line of scrub brush, old rotten posts and dilapidated fencing. Graduate students and undergraduate Clemson students have volunteered to come back again to help. The three nuns will be happy to be interviewed by reporters but prefer NOT to be photographed (for reasons of humility).
