Clemson’s Turfgrass Research and Education Field Day set for Sept. 12

CLEMSON – Clemson University Turfgrass Research and Education Field Day has been scheduled for Sept. 12, 8:30 a.m. to noon, at Clemson University’s Madren Center.

Cost is $40, which includes a Turgrass Field Day notebook, refreshments, pesticide recertification credits and barbecue lunch. Student registration is free but does not include lunch.

Registration will begin at the Owen Pavilion behind the Madren Center at 8 a.m. Tour of turfgrass research plots will begin at 9 a.m. After lunch, participants will have a choice to tour Clemson University’s sport turf facilities or a self-guided tour of the turfgrass research plots.

A golf tournament will be held at Southern Oak Golf Course on Sept. 11.

The event is sponsored by Clemson University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and South Carolina Turfgrass Foundation.

Membership to the South Carolina Turfgrass Foundation is $35 and $10 for students.
