CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on South Carolina ETV Radio for the week of Dec. 25. MONDAY, DECEMBER 25

Is Santa adead-weight loss?Dr. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University, talks with Economist Holley Hewitt Ulbrich, a senior fellow at the Strom Thurmond Institute, about the difference between the purchase price of gifts and what they are worth to the recipients.

The Claremont Trio. Mickey Harder, director of the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, goes backstage with twin sisters Emily and Julia Bruskin and Donna Kwong, the members of an award-winning chamber music trio who performed at Clemson University on Sept. 28. We’ll hear their candid conversation along with selections from their performance.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 26

Walking the gardens with a Clemson naturalist . Eric Rodgers takes a stroll through the SC Botanical Garden on the campus of Clemson University with Horticulture Professor Dr. David Bradshaw, an heirloom gardener and naturalist who leads weekly nature walks through the garden.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 27
Pet Healthcare, Habits, and Needs.
A selection of moments taken from recent call-in discussions of pet care topics. Dr. Glenn Birrenkott of the Clemson University Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences hosts Dr. Bobby Long of Magnolia Veterinary Hospital in Anderson in this program from the Your Day archives.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 28
New Year’s food safety and nutrition advice. Abbeville County Extension Agent Rhonda Matthews is joined by Union County Extension Agent Sue Hovey and by Kristen Welch, expanded food and nutrition program coordinator for the Upstate. We’ll review tips for surviving power outages during inclement weather; we’ll prepare some traditional New Year’s dishes; and we’ll look ahead to developing healthy eating habits for the New Year.
