Midterm elections speculation. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University , gets a preview of the upcoming election from Adam Warber, a professor in the Clemson University Political Science Department who specializes in the American presidency.

The World Made Straight. Sandy Woodward talks with Clemson poet and novelist Ron Rash, the parrish distinguished professor in Appalachian Cultural Studies at Western Carolina University and author of the award-winning One Foot in Eden and Saints at the River about his new novel, The World Made Straight.

Monster books. Clemson University English Professor Michelle Martin , a specialist in children’s and young adult literature, and one of her former students get together to read and discuss some favorite children’s books about monsters.
