CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on South Carolina ETV Radio for the week of October 2. MONDAY, OCTOBER 2
Midterm elections speculation.
Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University , gets a preview of the upcoming election from Adam Warber, a professor in the Clemson University Political Science Department who specializes in the American presidency.

The World Made Straight. Sandy Woodward talks with Clemson poet and novelist Ron Rash, the parrish distinguished professor in Appalachian Cultural Studies at Western Carolina University and author of the award-winning One Foot in Eden and Saints at the River about his new novel, The World Made Straight.

Monster books. Clemson University English Professor Michelle Martin , a specialist in children’s and young adult literature, and one of her former students get together to read and discuss some favorite children’s books about monsters.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3
A live call-in hour on insects and other household pests. Charlotte Holt hosts Cam Lay, assistant department head for Pesticide Regulation, and Eric Benson, Clemson Extension urban entomologist. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5
A ballot issue: amending the SC Constitution to cap property taxes . Donna London, director of the Jim Self Center on the Future, talks with Howard Duvall, executive director of the Municipal Association of South Carolina , a non-profit, non-partisan organization for SC cities.

Spam and spam filters. Eric Rodgers talks with Phil Yanov, director of Business Development at Acentron Technologies, and founder and executive director of the GSA Technology Council, about the growing problem of spam email.

Third Annual Recycling Business Forum.Tonya Lott, manager of the recycling market development program at the SC Department of Commerce, previews the upcoming Recycling Business Forum planned for Oct. 13 at the Archives and History Center in Columbia . The Mission of ChasDOC. Eric Rodgers talks with Justin Nathanson, executive director of ChasDOC, Inc., about this non-profit organization’s mission to support documentary filmmaking.
