How the
Tax Swap affects the individual.Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University , talks with economist Ellen Saltzman, a senior research associate at the Thurmond Institute, about her research into the effects of the tax swap at different levels of income.

The 2006 SC State Fair. State Fair General Manager Gary Goodman provides a preview of the South Carolina State Fair, which runs Wednesday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 22.

LIVE FROM THE SC STATE FAIR

Your Day is live onstage in the Ruff Building at the SC State Fairgrounds in Columbia. We’ll get an update on the day’s events from Nancy Smith, director of sponsorships and events, and we’ll sample a variety of Fair foods. Donna London, director of the Jim Self Center on the Future at Clemson University , will talk with naturalist Rudy Manke about the Palmetto State ’s rich natural history.
