CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on South Carolina ETV Radio for the week of Sept. 25. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

An update on the economy. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University , talks with economist Bruce Yandle, interim dean of the College of Business and Behavioral Science, a past member of the S.C. State Board of Economic Advisors and former Executive Director of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Yandle is a senior fellow of the Strom Thurmond Institute and author of the quarterly newsletter, The Economic Situation Report.

Google Labs. Eric Roberts discusses the latest developments from Google Labs with Phil Yanov, director of Business Development at Acentron Technologies, and founder and Executive Director of the GSA Technology Council.

Folk Art at the SC Museum. Glenn Hare tours a folk art storage area with Chief Curator of Art Paul Methany and Michelle Baker, chief registrar at the SC State Museum in Columbia .

The history of broadcasting and communications. Roy Scott visits with Rick Zender, curator of the John Rivers Communications Museum at the College of Charleston , housed in the Elliot House at 58 George Street . THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
An Achievement Award for providing senior housing in Newberry. Donna London, director of the Jim Self Center on the Future, talks with Ed Kyzer, mayor of Newberry, about a project to reclaim an old hospital to provide affordable housing for seniors. Newberry received an achievement award during the annual meeting of the Municipal Association of South Carolina held in Hilton Head.

The Politics of John C. Calhoun. Susan Pass, assistant professor of social studies education at Clemson University, talks with Calhoun scholar John Devanny, dean of St. Joseph's High School in Greenville, and the author of many publications on the economics of the Calhoun era, including, A Loathing of Public Debt, Excises, and Taxes.

The Rise and Fall of the Tobacco Markets. Bob Schuster visits the National Bean Market Museum in Lake City , to learn about a K-12 history and science research program of the SC Life Project, funded by Clemson University ’s Howard Hughes Medical Institute Project. He talks with Florence County School District 3 Superintendent Beth Wright, Barbara Speziale, a ssociate dean of Clemson University Academic Outreach and Summer Academic Programs, and with J. Paul Truluck Middle School Principal Laura Hickson and Lake City High School Science Teacher Debbie Whittington.

The Magic of Women. Some observations by Dr. Edwin Leap, an emergency room physician at Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca, and author of a collection of essays on his ER experiences: Working Knights. Dr. Leap’s columns can be found in the Greenville News, the Seneca Daily Journal-Messenger, and Emergency Medicine News. His new collection of essays on family, Cats Don’t Hike, is now available at Booklocker.Com.

Travelers Rest Arts Mission. Nicole Livengood, executive director of TRAM, the Travelers Rest Arts Mission, describes a host of activities sponsored by this non-profit organization to support and promote local artists. TRAM operates a new community arts center in Travelers Rest, located at 312 North Poinsett Highway .

Creamed Corn and Succotash at 33 Liberty. Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle of Clemson University’s Department of Packaging Science, visits the kitchen of Chef John Malik at 33 Liberty Restaurant and Catering in Greenville.
