Former Laurens 4-H’er to appear on “Jeopardy”

LAURENS – Britt Terry, former Laurens 4-H’er, will appear on the TV quiz program “Jeopardy,” Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Terry was president of the Laurens-Greenville 4-H Dairy Club for two years and in 1995 was the first Laurens County 4-H’er to win a Presidential Tray, the highest award given by 4-H. She attended National 4-H Congress in 1995, was on the winning 1993 South Carolina consumer judging team and the winning 1993 South Carolina Dairy judging team. She also participated in the 1993 National Quiz Bowl and in regional dairy judging in Louisville, Ky.

“I’m so proud of Britt,” said Marilyn Easter, who was volunteer leader for the 4-H’er.

Terry graduated from Woodmont High School in 1995 and Winthrop in 1999. She received her master’s from Winthrop in 2000. She became the recruiter and part-time English teacher for Winthrop from 2002-05.

She’s now beginning her third year at the University of South Carolina, pursuing a PhD in English.
