Upstate 4-H Shooting Sports Fun Day set for April 28

BELTON – An Upstate 4-H Shooting Sports Fun Day is scheduled for April 28, 8 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m., at the Belton Gun Club. Cost is $10.

The program is for youths ages 8 to 18. Competitions will be in BB gun, sporter air rifle, archery, shotgun, rimfire rifle and wildlife conservation.

Certified 4-H instructors will teach safety, sportsmanship and marksmanship during the event.

The program is sponsored by the Belton Gun Club as well as Anderson, Oconee and Greenville County 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs.

Pre-registration is required. Call 864-226-1581, Ext. 0 for additional information.

The South Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program is part of a national system that teaches young people leadership, citizenship, and life skills. 4-H uses a learn-by-doing approach, the involvement of caring adults, and the knowledge and resources of Clemson University and the nation’s land-grant university system to empower youth to become healthy, productive, and contributing members of society,
