The winners are: Hippology Contest – Team members were Jessica Rawl, Katie Skinner, Sarah Folsom from Darlington County and Tim Steele from Chester County . They placed ninth in written, sixth in judging, and ninth overall. Folsom placed ninth high individual in judging Horse Bowl – Team A was from Greenville BITS club - Olivia Taylor, Brittany Caitlin, Ally Merritt, and Oliva Gould. Team B was from lower Richland club – Joye Dimsdale, Erik Christmas, Jessica Privett, Cody McMillion, and Ali Duncan. Taylor was 10 th high individual. Team A won 10 th place and Team B placed sixth. Public Speaking – Aidan Lowe from Kershaw County was the representative and barely missed the top ten. Individual Presentation – Haley Bishop from Newberry County was the top individual with her presentation “It’s In Your Hands”. Sarah Folsom from Darlington County also presented her individual demonstration and just missed the top ten. Riding Classes: Amelia Nobles from Charleston County – 10 th in Stock Type Mares with her horse “Just a Super Match” Katie Skinner from Charleston County – Seventh in Stock Type Geldings and made finals in Hunt Seat Equitation with her horse “Bluesuade Norfleet” Kenneth Young from Florence County – Seventh in Non-Trotting Geldings and third in Non-Trotting Pleasure with his horse “Beam’s Rapid Express” Caitlin Fox from Darlington County – Eighth in Western Showmanship with her horse “Indulgence in Mind” Jessica Rawl from Darlington County – Fourth in Hunter Showmanship and seventh in Dressage, Training Level 3 with her horse “Millennium’s Memory” Sarah Folsom from Darlington County – Sixth in Trail and Semi-Finals in Western Pleasure with her horse “Vest in a Jet” Courtney Barnett from York County – Semi-Finals in Hunter under Saddle with her horse “Positively a Picasso” John Roof from Richland County – Second in Reining with his horse “Kelli Dawn Whiz” Cody McMillion from Richland County – Third in Reining with his horse “MJG Dun in Hollywood ” Erin Hudson from Darlington County – First in Dressage – First Level with her horse “Cinnamon Spice” Taylor Jackson from Berkeley County – Ninth in Dressage – First Level with “Speedy’s Bach Degree” Also representing 4-H with their horses were: Colleen, Pamela and Forrest Lambert from Berkeley Alanna Berryhill, Dia Dodson, JoBeth Gaston, Rachel Williams, Hannah Steele and John Grant from Chester Leah Hunter from Greenville Tiffany Graddick from Laurens John and Shealy Melton, and Mackenzie Malone from Pickens Jessica Privett from Richland Christy Pou and Lucy Wetzel from Saluda Sarah Bitsky and Laten Turner from Sumter Ashley McCarter from York The 4-H’ers had to have placed in the top two at the state event to qualify for regionals. 4-H is a community of young people across America who is learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills.
