4-H Trap and Skeet Shotgun Contest Winners Announced

CLEMSON – The results for the 2007 4-H Trap and Skeet Shotgun Contest which took place March 10 at the Carolina Star Gun Club in Aiken has been announced. Results for first – third in each division are listed below:

Junior Trap - Individual

1st Place - Aaron Gardner - Dillon County

2nd Place - Scooter Barnwell - Anderson

3rd Place - Kody Brown - Newberry

Through the 4-H Shooting Sports project, youth learn basic safety information, various shooting disciplines such as; archery, BB gun, muzzle loading, pistol, rifle and shotgun, while developing confidence and concentration.

The South Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program is part of a national system that teaches young people leadership, citizenship and life skills. 4-H uses a learn-by-doing approach, the involvement of caring adults, and the knowledge and resources of Clemson University and the nation’s land-grant university system to empower youth to become healthy, productive and contributing members of society.
