Tuesday, July 31 -Beavers are cute but they can also cause some major damage. Candace Cummings, Clemson University urban wildlife specialist, takes us to the S.C. Botanical Garden to see this up close. Then Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension agent, shows us how easy it is to do pressure cannning. Wednesday, Aug. 1 -- What are Triglycerides and Lipids? Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, explains. Then David Bradshaw, retired Clemson Extension horticulturist, and Mike Watson, Clemson University Foundation Seed, show us how seeds are preserved. Thursday, Aug. 2 -David Bradshaw, retired Clemson Extension horticulturist, shows us a really bad case of scale on a fern and talks about how to get rid of this bad plant problem. Then Libby Hoyle, retired Clemson Extension food and nutrition specialist, and Sue Hovey, Clemson Extension agent, make yeast bread. Friday, Aug. 3 - Bob Polomski and Micky Taylor, both with Clemson University ’s Horticulture Department, show us some interesting research with water chestnuts.
