At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Oct. 8

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, airs on South Carolina ETV Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Produced by Video Production Services of Clemson University . Ann Lee McPhail and Bob Schuster host the program.

Monday, Oct. 8 - Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor, takes us to the Anderson Farmers Market and to the road side stand at Denver Downs. Then C.P. Chihosz, Clemson Extension agent, discusses carpenter bees. In conclusion, Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension agent, whips together a romaine strawberry salad.

Tuesday, Oct. 9 - Lisa Wagner, education director for the S.C. Botanical Garden , shows how raised beds can be used in almost any area. Then learn about the nutritional needs of older people with Beth Kunkel, Clemson University food science and human nutrition professor.

Wednesday, Oct. 10 - Rhonda Mathews, Clemson Extension agent, shows how to prepare crawdads. Then David Bradshaw, retired Clemson Extension horticulturist, takes a look at verbena, money grass and dogwoods in the S.C. Botanical Garden .

Thursday, Oct. 11 - Millie Davenport, Clemson University home and garden information center, looks at hydrangeas and how weather conditions have hurt them. Then Bob Polomski, Clemson Extension horticulturist, and Bill Head, co-owner of Head-Lee Nursery, talks about what everyone needs to know before buying plants.

Friday, Oct. 5 - We continue our "Along the Trail with Expeditions" series with show host, Patrick McMillan. Then Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension agent, makes “Eggsellent Eggs” and spaghetti salad.

At Home Southern Style may also be seen on the South Carolina Channel. This week's show includes: Anderson 's Farmers Market, Raised Beds, Crawdads, Hydrangeas, and Along the Trail with Expeditions.
