At Home, Southern Style TV schedule for week of Sept. 17

CLEMSON -- "At Home, Southern Style," a Clemson University TV program, airs on South Carolina ETV Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 6:45 a.m. Produced by Video Production Services of Clemson University. Ann Lee McPhail and Bob Schuster host the program.

Monday, Sept. 17 --This is our week to be cool, or at least have cool topics. We begin with cool recipes. Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension agent, makes spinach-pear-cranberry salad. Then Elizabeth Hill, retired Clemson Extension agent, whips up dill chicken Salad and Texas Caviar.

Tuesday, Sept. 18 --More cool recipes as Elizabeth Hill, retired Clemson Extension agent, makes orange banana frozen yogurt pops and cheddar walnut tea sandwiches. Then Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension agent, makes a great shrimp pasta salad.

Wednesday, Sept. 19 - Today we go to a cool place and see a cool tree. Horticulturist Sidney Frazier of Middleton Place shows us the massive Middleton Oak. Then Rhonda Matthews, Clemson Extension agent, gives us a medley of cool foods: fried green tomatoes, chicken waldorf salad, and frozen strawberries.

Thursday, Sept. 20--One of the coolest places in our state is the S.C. Aquarium. We take a very refreshing look at fresh water Otters. Then we go to another cool place, Bill Dalton's back yard and his Clemson orange azalea.

Friday, Sept. 21-- We go back to the S.C. Aquarium to look at sea turtles and learn how they are being rescued. Then if all else fails to keep you cool, one of our Clemson graduates, Kelly Ticknor, talks about eastern massage.

At Home, Southern Style can also be seen on the Carolina Channel. Features this week include a collection of cool recipes from Rhonda Matthews and Elizabeth Hill-- Spinach-Pear-Cranberry Salad, Dill Chicken Salad, Texas Caviar, Orange-Banana Frozen Yogurt Pop, Cheddar Walnut Tea Sandwiches and Shrimp Pasta Salad.
