Therapeutic Vinyasa Yoga - Tuesdays
Geared for the beginner and intermediate practice. This style is a unification of breath and movement where the breathing is steady and movement flows at the pace of a breath. The sequences of asana or exercises are placed in a nice order to help the body flow from seated poses, to standing poses, to balance poses, to backbends, to twists and forward bends, to supine poses (lying on your back) and prone poses (lying on your stomach). Instructor, Phaedra Kennedy, will gently and compassionately guide participants through a relaxation at the end of the sequence in savasana. At this time the therapeutic effects of the intense exercises can be absorbed and appreciated by the participant.
