The workshop begins at 2 p.m. and is open to all sheep and goat producers in the state, according to Howard van Dijk, Clemson Extension area animal scientist. Susan Ducket, Clemson Unversity animal scientist, will give details on opportunities for sheep and goat production in South Carolina. Ralph Noble, chairman of the Department of Animal Science at North Carolina A&T University, will cover farm enterprise diversification and management practices. Other topics to be covered include forage selection for sheep and goats and internal parasite control. The program will conclude with a business meeting and a sheep and goat field day planning session.
