Clemson Television Series Wins Telly Award

CLEMSON – Clemson University’s “Expeditions with Patrick McMillan” recently won a bronze Telly Award for outstanding public television series in the nature and wildlife category.

The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. It receives more than 13,000 entries from around the country.

The show premiered in January on SC-ETV and the SC Channel. It can be seen Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

The program provides an informative and entertaining look at environmental conservation, as naturalist Patrick McMillan and his guests explore special places in the Carolinas and beyond.

McMillan is director of the Clemson University Museum of Natural Sciences. In each episode, he is joined by co-host Nancy Neal, and a guest expert who provides science-based insights for viewers. It is produced by Clemson University Video Production Services.

“Expeditions” strives to give the public an understanding and appreciation of biodiversity, conservation, and the intricacies of the biological world.

Previous distinguished winners include: The History Channel, Nickelodeon, ESPN Class, Discovery Education, Hallmark Channel, Nike and turner Classic Movies.
