MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2007
SC taxation issues.Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University , talks with Holley Hewitt Ulbrich, an alumna professor emerita of economics at Clemson University and senior fellow at the Strom Thurmond Institute. Ulbrich is the co-author of three Citizen’s Guides: Education Financing in South Carolina,Local Governments and Home Rule in South Carolina andPaying for Government in South Carolina.

One young person at a time. Columnist and Furman University President David Shi considers the Bridges to a Brighter Future program at Furman University , which encourages individual Greenville County students to graduate from high school and attend college.

SC conservation and water quality . Bob Schuster talks with Richard Coombe, regional assistant chief for the East Region with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) during the 2007 SC Conservation Partnership conference held at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach .

Charleston novelist Charlie Geer. Roy Scott talks with the author of Outbound: The Curious Secession of Latter-Day Charleston . Geer was a participant in the 2007 SC Book Festival held Feb. 24-25 in Columbia .

Making Time for Thyme. Beaufort writer Vivian Bikulege, a columnist with the Lowcountry Weekly, shares her experience with cooking.
