MONDAY, MARCH 19, 2007
The challenge of pluralism for America and the world. Bob Becker, director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University, talks with Dr. Nathan Hatch, president of Wake Forest University, who spoke at Clemson University on Feb. 27 as part of the 2006-2007 Presidential Colloquium, “The Difficult Unity of Inclusion.”

The Mount Pleasant Arts Festival. Roy Scott talks with Mount Pleasant Deputy Town Administrator Eric Demoura about an effort to preserve the culture and arts of the Lowcountry through the development of a waterfront park with an open air Sweetgrass Basket Pavilion. The 11 th annual Town of Mount Pleasant Arts Festival takes place Saturday, March 24, in the Mount Pleasant Towne Center, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The latest on Google Earth. Eric Rodgers talks with Phil Yanov, executive director of the GSA Technology Council and president of Thinkhammer Communications, about an updated version of Google Earth from Google Labs. This Wednesday, March 21, Eric and Phil will be live on Your Day to take listeners’ questions about the Internet and other technologies.

Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. Roy Scott talks with the All American Bluegrass Girl and gets a preview of the upcoming Renofest honoring SC bluegrass legend Don Reno. The Tenth Annual Renofest takes place March 23-25 in Hartsville.

S pring into gardening.Your Day travels to the regional ETV studios of WJWJ in Beaufort for a Radio/TV simulcast edition on gardening in the Carolinas . Bob Schuster welcomes Berkeley County Extension Agent Mark Arena and Colleton County Extension Horticulturist Shawn Jadrnicek.

Try These on for Size. Beaufort writer Vivian Bikulege, a columnist with the Lowcountry Weekly, shares some thoughts on walking in another’s shoes.

Food safety mythbusters. Abbeville County Extension Agent Rhonda Matthews learns the truth about hand-washing from Dr. Paul Dawson of the Clemson University Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition.

Glow Tales. Guest Director Kim Granner previews the upcoming production of Glow Tales to be performed at the Peace Center’s Gunther Theatre on March 24-25. This blacklight puppetry extravaganza is produced by the SC Children’s Theatre.

Vegetable Cream Mussels. Clemson Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist Libby Hoyle of Clemson University’s Department of Packaging Science visits the kitchen of Chef Frederick Neuville at 39 Rue de Jean and COAST in Charleston .
