Glenn Hare of the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts learns more about this defining moment in the history of country music from Dr. Mark Hosler , music historian and professor in the Clemson University Department of Performing Arts. We’ll hear the story of Jimmie Rodgers in this second of two conversations on the 1927 recording sessions held in Bristol , Tennessee and directed by Victor Talking Machine Company Producer Ralph Peer . Nichole Livengood, executive director of the Travelers Rest Arts Mission (TRAM), previews the second annual TRAM Fair featuring over 40 “outsider” and folk artists from across the Southeast.
