Preventing nature-deficit disorder. Bob Becker , director of the Strom Thurmond Institute on Government and Public Affairs at Clemson University, talks with Richard Louv , chair of the Children & Nature Network and author of Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder . Louv delivers the annual George B. Hartzog Lecture at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Clemson University’s Brooks Center . His address is open to the public free of charge.

Legislation to protect the water. Debbie Dalhouse gets an update on proposed water protection laws from David Wilson , the bureau chief of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Bureau of Water .

Behind the wheel and on the phone? Eric Rodgers talks with Phil Yanov, president of Thinkhammer Communications and director of the GSA Technology Council about the prospect of making it illegal to use a cell phone while driving.

B. J. Thomas . Roy Scott speaks with popular American recording artist B.J. Thomas who performs with Billy Joe Royal on Oct. 27 at the Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson.
