On a Personal Note
Dr. Rosopa and his wife met in 1992 in New Orleans, LA. They have two wonderful daughters together. Below are a few memorable quotes from their daughters.
- When their oldest daughter was in elementary school, a boy in her class had a crush on her. For Valentine’s Day, he cleverly used candies glued to paper to ask her, “Will you marry me?” She politely responded in a note by saying, “Thank you but no.”
- When asking their youngest daughter (who was 4 yrs. old at the time) what she wanted to be when she grew up, she promptly answered, “I want to be a dolphin.”
- On April 11, 2012, Dr. Rosopa’s home was destroyed by a fire. He and his family lost everything. It was a devastating loss and quite an ordeal to work through. One quote is especially memorable. While watching the firefighters combat the fire and after the second floor burned and collapsed into the first floor, his daughter asks in a very honest, candid way, “So, are we technically homeless?” (Note that Dr. Rosopa and his family are back on their feet and doing well.)
