New Fringe Rates Released
FEBRUARY 2008 – The fringe benefits rates for the new funding year have now been approved. These rates will be used starting July 1, 2008 and must be used on all grant proposals on which salary is charged after that date.
For example, if a project starts on 6/1/08, then the current rate would be budgeted from 6/1 until 7/1, and the new rate would be used from 7/1 on. Please keep in mind that the fringe rates will likely change again on 7/1/09, so you may want to estimate an increase when budgeting subsequent years. Your grants coordinator can help you with this estimation.
