Teams of Clemson professors, extension agents, and professional partners are developing a series of courses to be offered through the Center for Watershed Excellence. These courses will be online or hybrid (online learning combined with face-to-face trips) and intended for professional development. The initial courses will be:
- Master Pond Manager achievement course
- Stormwater Best Management Practice (BMP) Inspection and Maintenance Certification Program (IMCP)
- Certified Environmental Landscape Professional program
Additional courses on Watershed Based Planning, Stream Restoration, and Site Stabilization, Seed Selection and Application are in the planning stages.
The Course Coordinator for the Center is Michael Griffin, who is based at the Clemson University Restoration Institute in North Charleston, SC. The initial courses will be developed and tested in 2014, and offered to the public in 2015.
