Career Academy

The Office of Research Development CAREER Academy provides a dedicated support structure for untenured junior faculty who are planning to submit National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) proposals. The Academy is held every year from January through proposal submission in July. The NSF CAREER awards enable recipients to develop careers not only as outstanding researchers but also as educators demonstrating commitment to teaching, learning, and dissemination of knowledge. Successful Principal Investigators propose creative, effective research and education plans, developed within the context of the mission, goals, and resources of their organizations, while building a firm foundation for a lifetime of contributions to research, education, and their integration.

On October 26, 2022, Jane Jacobi will provide an overview of the NSF CAREER program and of the ORD CAREER Academy. This workshop will be useful for assistant professors who are thinking about submitting CAREER proposals in 2023. Register for the Zoom Session.
