CITI Registration
Instructions:
Follow this URL to the CITI login/registration page https://www.citiprogram.org/default.asp.
- Click on ‘New Users Register Here’
- On the following page, select Clemson University as
your participating institution as well as any other applicable institutions.
If you are not certain whether other institutions may be applicable,
please contact the appropriate Compliance Administrator (contact information
below).
- You will then create a user ID and password. This may
be any ID and password you choose, though it is recommended that you
use your Clemson ID and password.
- The next screen will prompt you to input your name and
email. Though not required, it is recommended that you input your Clemson
email address.
- Next, you will input misc. personal information. Please
note that only fields marked with an asterisk are required.
- The next screen will consist of a series of questions
designed to load the appropriate training modules into your course listing.
If you are not certain which training courses you should take, please
contact the appropriate Compliance Administrator (see below).
- Once you have selected your training modules, you will
be prompted for a final institution affiliation. If none of the institutions
mentioned apply to you, please select “No”.
- You will now be directed to the Learner’s Menu
where you may enter the training modules listed under “My Courses”.
- Complete all the required modules and associated quizzes.
There may be several optional modules. If your research involves these
topics, you are required to complete the appropriate optional modules
as well. Please note that a passing score of 80% or better is needed
to satisfy the training requirement. Course software will keep track
of your learning progress of the modules required by Clemson University.
You may exit and later enter the course again. When re-entering the
course, enter your username and password on the CITI homepage, then
submit. Note: You will be required to first take the "Integrity Assurance" module before progressing to any others.
- A Course Completion Report must be printed or downloaded
at the end as evidence of successful completion of training. While there
is no need to send a copy to the Office of Research Compliance, please
keep a copy of this report for your records.
Important: Since you may not be able to complete
all the required modules in one session, remember your username and password
because you will need these to re-enter the course site.
